Coiled Tubing

Key Energy’s expanded Coiled Tubing Services bring value through a variety of services that can be performed on all types of oil and gas wells. These services include matrix and fracture stimulation, fill and scale removal, logging, perforating, nitrogen jet lift, sand control, milling and drilling, cementing, well circulation, and mechanical isolation.

How it Works

The primary benefit of Coiled Tubing is the ability to perform interventions on live wells. When utilizing Coiled Tubing for a workover or the completion of an oil or gas well, there is no need to kill the well which can risk damaging the producing formation. Live well interventions eliminate the time involved in killing a well and bringing the well back on to a productive state, saving the operator time and expense.

Another benefit is that Coiled Tubing can be run through existing tubing. Not only does this eliminate the time involved in pulling prodution tubing, it also cancels the expense of re-dressing the production packer. For injection well applications, operators have seen cost savings of up to 50% and more. These savings are due to the reduced time downhole.
