On June 19th, 2008, Dick Alario, CEO of Key Energy Services, Inc. was named Ernst & Young's ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ in the Energy category. During his acceptance speech, Dick attributed his successes at Key to the dedication and support of his management team and thanked Key's many employees, customers and shareholders for their work and support.

Nominated for the honor by Longnecker & Associates, Dick was in the running against a worthy group of opponents. As a result of this win in the Gulf Coast region, Dick will move forward for consideration in E/Y's national awards in November.

Effective August 25, 2004 Dick Alario was named Chairman, President, and CEO. Mr. Alario joined Key from BJ Services where he was Vice President. Prior to that he served in a variety of senior management capacities for OSCA, an oilfield services company specializing in integrated completion services. Dick has a distinguished career in international markets having held top-level positions managing oilfield service businesses in the United Kingdom, Europe and Central and South America.

As a member of the National Ocean Industries Association, he has served on the Executive Committee, the Board of Directors, and is Chairman of the Health, Safety Security and Environment Committee. Previously, he served on the Board of Directors of the Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exposition, the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry, and the Louisiana State University Department of Petroleum Engineering Advisory Council.
